Excerpt – Dust Jacket:
Featuring the magnificent new Gateway Arch, besides the ultramodern Busch Stadium and the outdoor sculptures of Carl Milles and Henry Moore, this book presents in full-color photographs and charming text the story of St. Louis from early fur-trading days to the present. Pictures of the parks, the Showboat Theater, and old residences, churches, and civic buildings re-create the past.

Photography and text are by Arthur Witman, for many years a staff writer and photographer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
