The Growth of the American People

by Kelty

Front Cover/Spine:

This is a neat old American History text book. Great for home schooling. The book was published in 1931. The green cloth pictorial cover shows signs of wear to the surface, the edges, corners and to the top and bottom of the spine. The spine is tight and the hinges are strong. The title page is missing, along with several other pages in the front of the book. The pages show no signs of foxing. With a few exceptions, the pages show no signs of rips. I did spot for or five places where the pages have been torn and/or repaired. One of the defective pages is “crumpled” as well. One of the pages is missing a small piece of the page in the margin area. Exceptions noted, the overall condition of this book is good – a readable copy.

Excerpt – To the Boys and Girls who are about to read This Book:
If you like to read stories, you will like this book. The stories tell of the discovery of our country and how ships were wrecked and men lost for years in the wilderness, trying to explore its coasts and rivers. Some of the later stories tell about the beginnings of our nation.

Perhaps your father and mother will be interested to have you tell them about these great events which happened so many years ago. As you read the stories, keep in mind that you many not have the book before you when you want to tell the stories…
