Excerpt – Dust Jacket:
This is the incredible tale of Patsy Li, a real child of miracles, as told by Father Frederic P. Gehring, the Padre of Guadalcanal, who first called her Pao Pei (Little Treasure) when she was delivered to his care by U.S. Marines. She had been discovered by some natives, half-dead in a watery ditch, and dragged to a Marine outpost at the height of a raging battle. It is also the story of a mother’s search for her lost child, her unwavering faith and courage, and of how a 4,200 mile journey from Singapore to the New Hebrides led to the reunion of mother and child…
