Front Cover/Spine:
This is a nifty old travel book about the mid-western United States. It is filled with wonderful, vintage black and white photographs of various American cities. The book was published in 1923 by J.B. Lippincott Company, Philadelphia and London. The book measures 6 inches by 8 7/8 inches and contains 254 pages. This is a former library copy and has the number on the spine. Other than that, I did not see any markings. The yellow cloth pictorial cover shows signs of wear to the edges, corners and to the top and bottom of the spine. The cover is soiled. The spine is tight and the hinges are strong. The pages show no signs of foxing. For the most part, the pages show no signs of rips. The exceptions are as follows: The front free end page is removed. One of the illustrations has been removed. One of the leaves is torn up from the bottom edge at the spine. This is limited to the margin area and does not affect the readability of the text in any way. The top edges of the pages are gilt. This book is being sold as is. Exceptions noted, the overall condition of this old book is good plus.

To say nothing of the beauty of the rolling prairies, the pleasing forests, the ever changing landscape that makes Northern Illinois so delightful! …
