This unusual, old medical book was published in 1929 by the author. The book measures 5 1/8 inches by 7 inches and contains 108 pages. The cover shows minor signs of wear. The soft cover is securely attached. The book is bound by staples. The final page in the book is torn by where the staples and back cover are secured. Other than that, the pages show no signs of rips. For the most part, there are no signs of foxing. The title page has slight discoloration from being next to the authors photograph. Exceptions noted, the overall condition of this book is very good.

My experience, covering a period of twenty-eight years and based on careful inquiry and observation, proves to me that at least eighty per cent. of cases of Bright’s disease are directly caused by excessive use of ice-cold drinks. The times of greatest danger in taking ice-cold drinks are occasions when the individual is suffering from fatigue, overwork, hunger, lack of nourishment, or any other cause which depletes the system until the circulation and vital forces are below par. When a person pours into the stomach from a pint to two pints of ice-cold liquid, we have this situation: The stomach, an organ lying almost directly in front of the kidneys, has thrown into it an ice-cold drink, temperature about forty degrees, Fahrenheit; normal body temperature is ninety-eight and two-fifths degrees, making a difference of fifty-eight and two-fifths degrees…
