This book is a very unique piece of memorabilia. Although the book contains no discernable date, the book appears to be circa 1700s or perhaps early 1800s but your guess is as good as ours. Unless it is written in the Chinese characters. and you are able to read them. The book has English writing on the front and on the back cover as shown in the scans. It appears that the book had been previously owned by the Diocese of Ohio. The hand writing notes that it was published by the American Tract Society. The soft cover shows signs of wear and soiling. The corners of the cover and some of the pages are folded. The back cover has several small holes in it. The book is bound by thread and the cover is securely attached. The pages show no signs of rips or foxing. Exceptions noted, the overall condition of the book is good.
