This is a lovely book. It was published in 1968 by Sierra Club, Ballantine Books. The soft cover book measures approximately 6 ˝ inches by 9 ˝ inches and contains 160 pages. The cover shows signs of wear and soiling but is securely attached. The pages are printed on good quality paper and show no signs of rips. Exceptions noted, the overall condition of this book is good.

Unlike Eliot Porter, I came to a Maine island for the first time, not as a child, but as an adult- and in the winter, not in the summer. The island was Hog Island in Muscongus Bay.
